The 18th Annual Moongana Santa Gertrudis Stud Sale took place in Rolleston on August 30th.
A gathering of over 40 cattle enthusiasts graced the sale, showcasing the continued support and interest in Moongana’s offerings. Furthermore, 55 registered bidders participated through the Elite Livestock Auction platform.
A total of 51 Santa Gertrudis bulls were presented for sale, and all 51 found buyers, achieving a 100% clearance rate. The sale achieved a total gross of $785,000.00, with an exceptional average price of $15,392.00 per bull.
The highlight of the sale was the top-priced bull, Lot 3 Moongana Quantum 3766 (PS), which commanded significant attention and was secured by KJ Knudsen for $80,000.00. Following closely was Lot 17, Moongana Quaintly 3772 (P), which found a new home with TLC Pastoral Company of Alice Springs, with a sale price of $34,000.00.
