Role of the Council
The Santa Gertrudis Breeders (Australia) Association Board of Directors (Councillors), comprises 12 members, who are elected for a two-year term by the breed members.
The Council has the responsibility to ensure the Breed maintains a Standard of Excellence and that all purebred cattle registered meet a minimum standard. The Council is also responsible for the running of the Association, setting fee structures and ensuring the Regulations are compliant, and to maintain the breed at the forefront of the Australian beef industry.
