The 15th Annual Watasanta – Santa Gertrudis Sale took place on August 23rd.
A total of 41 Santa Gertrudis bulls were presented for sale, reflecting the commitment to excellence that Watasanta is known for. The sale was met with enthusiasm, as 35 bulls found new homes, resulting in an impressive clearance rate of 85%. The gross total amounted to $435,000, with a commendable average price of $12,430.
The standout of the sale was the top price achieved for Lot 14, Watasanta Tim Tam 2958 (PP). This exceptional bull garnered a bid of $42,500 and was acquired by Forest Park Santa Gertrudis Stud Blackall. Following closely, Lot 25, Watasanta Touchdown 2878 (PP), attracted significant attention and was successfully purchased by Torres Park Augathella for $24,000.
A crowd of over 50 attended, with an additional 49 online registered bidders through the Elite Livestock Auctions platform, reflecting the strong interest in Watasanta genetics.
