Quamby Bluff Santa Gertrudis is a small stud located near Deloraine in Tasmania’s North. Together, Stuart and Kathryn run their small, but ever-growing stud of Santa Gertrudis cattle on the multi-generational family farm, alongside commercial beef fattening and cropping operations.

Long ago, Stuarts Grandfather had a small herd of Santa Gertrudis cattle as a part of his farming enterprise. With this discovery, it inspired Stuart in 2014 to purchase his first breeding stock.

Since then, Stuart and Kathryn have been building their herd, and passion for this magnificent breed. Purchasing breeding stock from mainland Australia and bringing them back to Tasmania is no small feat! However, the results are well worth the enormous cross country and ocean adventure, as they are now producing great quality breeding animals with proven durability in the Tasmanian and Central Australia conditions alike.
