OLD MOUNTAIN SANTA STUD

STUD # 2167

Old mountain Santa Stud was established in 2020.  Owned by Nev & Lynne Watts, the stud sits at Ropeley, in the foothills of the Lockyer Valley, 1 hour west of Brisbane.

Our starting point was purchasing only classified “S” stud females from several seed stock producers at auction including :

• Glenn Oaks
• Diamond H
• Bullamakinka
• Tookey Creek
• Linlands
• Kilcock

Initially relying only on AI programs, we currently have stock on the ground from Sires which include:

• Warenda Sahara (P)
• Cardona Patterson (P)
• Dangarfield Universe (PS)
• Yarrawonga N22
• Tookey Creek Malta (P)
• Moongana Karachi (P)
• Diamond H Xman (P)
• Red Doc Never Better (P) (USA)

Although only small in numbers our aim is to produce animals that are true to type and specifications of the Santa Gertrudis Breed with an easy going temperament while doing well under all paddock conditions.
