Over more than 30 years using some diverse and very interesting Santa Gertrudis genetics, Kamawa has established its type.

THE KAMAWA TYPE

After many generations, our cattle have high prepotency in their ability to reproduce a Santa polled type with strong Bos indicus head, large ears and very docile temperament.

The coastal environment with its exposure to ticks and flies, biting midges and other insects together with three day sickness and other coastal related ailments – all have gone to toughen up the constitution of Kamawa type.  Consequently, they do very well in inland Australia – and move easily onto coastal properties.

Stud and commercial bulls and heifers are sold on property and through Kamawa website.
