Yarrawonga Cattle Co notched another standout result at its Wallumbilla sale today, selling 100% of the 152 Santa Gertrudis bulls offered.
Buyers paid an impressive average of $14,016, with bidding peaking at $90,000 and a gross sale total of $2,124,000.
The top-priced bull, Lot 1 – Yarrawonga Pablo V46 (IVF) (P), was secured for $90,000 by stud breeders Scott Ferguson and Luke Baker, principals of Glenn Oaks and Wave Hill Santa Gertrudis and Anabranch buying in partnership.
Sired by Waco Massi M384 (P) and out of Yarrawonga Jazz Q365 (P), the 29-month-old powerhouse impressed with his strength, structure, and style.
He weighed in at 1122 kg, recorded an ADG of 1.21, and scanned 10/13 fat, 154 EMA, 6.2% IMF, and a 40 cm scrotal circumference.
The second-highest price of $55,000 was paid by Daniel and Kasey Phillips, Murgona, Taroom, for Lot 4 – Yarrawonga Picaso V104 (PS), a son of Yarrawonga Impact (P) and Yarrawonga Lalique S463 (P).
