The 2022 Broad Leaf Santa Gertrudis Sale was held on 12th September at Rolleston Livestock & Grain.
40 bulls were offered and sold under the hammer for 100% clearance. Grossing $394,000, to average $9,850, topping last year’s average of $8,484.
Top bull was Lot 49, Broad Leaf Solomon S52 (P). He was purchased by Bart & Tegan Wilkinson, Cassiopeia Clermont for $22,000.
Second top price was shared by Lot 61, Broad Leaf Steele S76(P), purchased by Rutland Grazing Springsure, and Lot 64, Broad Leaf S130 (P), purchased by Ray Brown Banana. Both respectively selling for $20,000.
