Triple S

Stud 2020 – Triple S Santa Stud is based at Taroom in Central Queensland and is run by Jason And Kylie Bruggemann and family. We run 400 Santa Gertrudis cows of which 300 of these are registered stud cows. We sell 20 Bulls annually through the Western Downs Santa sale in Dalby and a number of paddock bulls. All other progeny are sold as fat cattle and must be gone as 2 year olds as we have limited land to run them on.

All our cattle are aimed to commercially turn a profit. The cows must rear an early calf annually, no excuses whether they have a stud brand or not. The cows have to also be able to handle tough conditions with no pampering and be able to recover quickly when the season turns. Sale cattle must reach target weights quickly with high weight gain and adequate fat cover and lastly Sale Bulls must epitomise all these commercial traits. Our sale bulls are the elite progeny from our herd and are aimed to improve all facets of any herd. Our 3 main aims across the herd are FERTILITY, PERFORMANCE AND TEMPERAMENT.
