Canowindra

Stud 818 – Canowindra Santa Gertrudis was established in 1971 in the Locker Valley. It started with the purchase of two stud cows from Colington dispersal sale. Other females were then added from Rosevale and Douglas herds. The very first stud sire purchased was Rosevale John.

Over the years the Canowindra stud has changed location a few times, however is now located at Emerald in Central Queensland. Canowindra is owned and operated by Jason and Joanne Wolff together with their three daughters Brielle, Lateesha and Chloe.

Currently, Canowindra Santa Gertrudis herd consists of 250 stud cows and heifers. Producing 60 to 70 stud and herd bulls each year.

Our goal is to consistently produce industry focused bulls that will reliably go on to produce practical, profitable cattle for our clients.
