Peter Graham’s Tudor Creek Santa Gertrudis Stud at Moss Vale, NSW is an off-shoot from his late parents’ Murrumbo Pastoral Company Santa Gertrudis Stud at Bylong, NSW.

The Grahams have been breeding Santa Gertrudis cattle for well over 50 years.   Peter and his father, Bill, both served on the Council of The Santa Gertrudis Breeders’ (Australia) Association.

Murrumbo’s Show successes have included:

  • Supreme Exhibit at the RAS Easter Show in 1978, and
  • Senior and Grand Champion Bull and Senior and Grand Champion female at the RNA (“EKKA”) Brisbane Exhibition in 1982.

The judge at the EKKA was the late Burnett Joyce from the Gyranda Stud, who died on 18 May 2021.   In the Queensland Country Life’s obituary (25 June), he was described as “a sought-after judge in Australia and internationally”.   It recorded that he had been honoured in 2006 with the R.W.Vincent award for his “Outstanding Contribution to the Beef Industry in Australia”.

The Graham family’s gene pool has been derived from:

  • King Ranch (Australia)
